Dual-Head 3-in-1 Uncoiler, Straightener & Feeder for Russian Sheet Metal Factory

Russia’s sheet metal sector is actively upgrading automation. Many manufacturers are replacing old separate production lines to pursue continuous operation, higher precision and better space efficiency. Recently, YITUO delivered and commissioned a dual-head 3-in-1 coil processing line for a local sheet metal enterprise, resolving issues like frequent downtime, unstable accuracy and messy equipment layout.

Client Demands

The client processes cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel and stainless steel coils, with a 200-ton stamping press as core equipment. Strict requirements apply to material flatness and feeding tolerance.

Previously, they used separate single-head uncoiler, straightener and feeder. Frequent stops for coil changing caused huge output losses during peak seasons. Inconsistent running speed led to material arching, deviation and high defective rates. The split layout also took up much floor space and increased maintenance workload.

The client put forward key requirements: realize non-stop coil change, boost processing precision, adopt compact integrated structure.

Our team recommended the dual-head 3-in-1 integrated line to fit the client’s materials, working conditions and local cold climate.

The dual independent stations work alternately. Operators can load new coils on the standby station in advance, and switch stations with one click without halting production. Equipped with auto-correction and photoelectric sensors, the line keeps feeding stable and avoids material deviation.

Combining decoiling, leveling and servo feeding in one unit, the equipment saves plenty of workshop space. Core rollers are made of high-hardness bearing steel with fine surface treatment for excellent durability. Multi-group leveling rollers eliminate coil internal stress, while the servo system runs in perfect sync with the stamping press to ensure precise feeding.

We added low-temperature protection for electric and hydraulic parts to adapt to Russia’s cold weather. The oil-proof and anti-corrosive coating looks neat and easy to clean.

We also provided full on-site installation, commissioning and operator training. Long-term remote technical support is available to serve the client across time zones.

Operation Effect & Feedback

After putting into use, production continuity and overall capacity improved greatly. Stable leveling and feeding performance cut defective products and raw material waste obviously. The compact layout simplifies daily maintenance, and the customized appearance matches the factory environment well.
