Fully Automatic, Hands-Free Operation
Once coil parameters are set on the touchscreen, the entire process is controlled automatically without manual intervention.
Automatic Coil Loading & Centering
The coil car transports the coil to the uncoiler spindle with self-centering. Guide rollers close automatically, and the hold-down arm descends with calculated pressure.
Automatic Coil Threading
The strip is guided into the straightener automatically after uncoiling, with photoelectric sensors for loop control, eliminating manual feeding.
Electronic Straightening Adjustment
Straightening values are fine-tuned via touchscreen according to material thickness and strength, no manual handwheel operation required.
Automatic End-of-Coil Handling
When a coil nears its end, the pass-through detector signals the press to switch to inching mode automatically.
Reinforced Backup Roller System
To prevent deflection and edge damage on high-strength or wide coils, this line incorporates reinforced backup rollers. The straightener frame is equipped with backup rollers on both top and bottom, which absorb separating forces and deliver superior straightening results.
Smart Automatic Straightening Calibration
During installation, our team will pre-calibrate straightening parameters based on your coil specifications.
Coils naturally have internal compression (around the inner diameter, typically 400–610mm) and external tension (around the outer diameter, typically 800–1800mm), which requires different straightening adjustments. YITUO’s proprietary program automatically adjusts straightening values during coil processing, eliminating manual intervention.
Openable Upper Roll Design for Easy Maintenance
Materials like high-strength steel and aluminum may leave residue on the straightener rollers. The openable straightener head allows quick cleaning and easy access for further adjustments or upgrades.
1. Coil Car
This dual-function unit loads coils onto the uncoiler spindle and guides the strip head into the straightener smoothly.
Anti-Tilt Baffles: Movable baffles prevent narrow-width coils from tipping during loading.
Structure: Four guide columns support the load, with a roller-type contact surface.
Dual Drive: Hydraulic motor with chain transmission drives the contact rollers.
Lifting: Hydraulic cylinder with pressure-holding valve for stable lifting (stroke: 350 mm).
Travel: Hydraulic motor drive with throttle valve speed control (travel: 2500 mm, speed: 8 m/min, adjustable).
Safety: Limit switches and stoppers prevent overtravel.
Control: Handheld or touchscreen operation.
Centering: Automatic self-centering.
2. Uncoiler
The uncoiler feeds the coil intermittently into the straightener-feeder. It features a cantilever structure with a 15-ton maximum load capacity and three sets of hydraulic wedge mechanisms for spindle expansion.
Spindle Drive: 11 kW AC motor with frequency converter; double-row large-pitch chain transmission.
Brake: Cylinder disc brake.
Direction: Clockwise.
Spindle Support: Hydraulic cantilever support.
Hold-Down Arm: Motor-driven arm with 180mm-wide polyurethane rubber wheel to prevent strip loosening. Speed controlled via angle encoder feedback.
Guide Limit Arms: Two free-rotating rollers (inner roller fixed angle; outer roller pneumatically controlled) that close and self-center according to coil width. Surface treated with black phosphating.
3. Coil Threading Support
After uncoiling, the strip is guided to the threading support. A hydraulic-driven swing arm with an upper inlet roller automatically closes to hold the material when the strip head is detected. The bottom inlet roller shares power with the straightener. The two rollers grip the strip tightly and feed it into the straightener. Both are made of high-quality bearing steel with sandblasting treatment (HRC60±2).
4. Straightener-Feeder
This integrated unit levels the coil and feeds it into the press in precise increments. It features two motorized inlet pinch rollers to prevent scratching.
Roller Configuration: 9 straightening rollers, 5 groups of backup rollers, 2 feed rollers.
Material: GCr15 bearing steel, hardness HRC60±2.
Transmission: Side gear drive with ISO 6 precision gears.
Straightening Rollers: 9 pieces (5 upper / 4 lower), hard chrome-plated and ground, supported by deep groove ball bearings.
Backup Rollers: 5 groups, supported by needle bearings.
Pinch Rollers: 2 outlet rollers feed the leveled strip into the press.
Drive: 30 kW AC servo motor with mechanical transmission.
Release: Pneumatic roller release.
Adjustment: Motorized adjustment via gear motor, accuracy 0.1mm, with touchscreen control and memory function.
Display: Touchscreen display, with a dial on the eccentric shaft for reference.
Leveling Precision: ≤0.15 mm/m².
Feeding Accuracy: ±0.15 mm/m (length 0–500mm); ±0.20 mm/m (length 500–1000mm).
Line Height: Electrically adjustable, 1250 ±100mm.
